NEW CUMBERALND – Helen Elizabeth Higginbotham, 79, of R. D. #, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Ohio Valley Hospital in Wheeling following a sudden illness.
She was born in Mannington, W.Va., Dec. 19, 1921, a daughter of the late James F. and Blanche M. Hayes Moore.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clem Higginbotham.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda Hoffman of Morgantown, Mrs. Terry (Anna) Raines and Mrs. Jack (Rhonda) Sandy of New Cumberland and Kathleen Brackett of Chariton, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Lester (June) Higginbotham of Mannington, W.Va., Mrs. Ray (Betty) Ammons of Weston, W. Va., and Mrs. Ray (Rosedell) Hayes, of Massillon; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
The Revs. Billy Ray Carpenter and Charles E. Andrews will conduct services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in New Cumberland Cemetery.
Friends may all at the Turley Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday.
