WELLSVILLE – Audrey B. Mercer, 77, of Commerce Street, died peacefully with her family by her side, Monday evening, September 22, 3003, at East Liverpool City Hospital.
She was born March 12, 1926, in Ravenswood, W.Va., the daughter of the late Alto and Sarah (Hoschar) Rardon. Audrey graduated from Wellsville High School in 1944 and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence “Bert” Mercer, whom she married February 16, 1946; four daughters, Shirley Wells and her husband Paul of Wellsville, Sally Long and her husband Bob of Wellsville, Amy McAdoo and her husband Kraig of East Palestine, Ohio, and Julie Johnston and her husband Dewey of Wellsville, two sons, Jim Mercer and his wife Debbie of Wellsville, and Eddie Mercer and his wife Robbin of Wellsville, Two sisters also survive; Pearl Justice of Salem and Olive Doland of Wellsville: along with 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Sayre, Vesla Stine and Kathryn Harvey; and three brothers, Edward Rardon, Kermit Rardon and Harold Rardon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville with Reverend Bruce Ballantine of the Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Wellsville.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
