EAST PALESTINE. – Jesse T. McHenry, 81, of 51 A. North Ave. died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Harmon Boarding Home in New Waterford where he had been a patient since August.
He was born June 27, 1903, in Brimfield, Ohio, a son of the Albert B. McHenry and Emma Hanes McHenry.
Mr. McHenry moved to this area in 1940 from Fredonia, Pa. He was a dragline operator with the Marshall Mining Co. of Youngstown for 27 years, retiring in 1963 due to ill health. He was a member of the East Palestine First United Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Molly Schaible McHenry, whom he married Sept. 29, 1926, at home; three sons, Mervin E. McHenry of Springfield, Ohio, Leslie E. McHenry of Richmond, Va., and Victor L. McHenry of Hot Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Mildred Eileen McHenry at home and Mrs. James (Aleta) Scanlon of Salem; 11 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Services are to be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home with the Rev. De. Barry M. Walker officiating. Burial is to be in Glenview Cemetery.
There are to be no calling hours.
