EAST LIVERPOOL -- Robert E. Hampson, 62, of Moore Road, East Liverpool, died suddenly at his residence. He was born in East Liverpool, on Jan. 4, 1945, a son of the late Joseph and Virginia (Clark) Hampson.
Living his entire life in this are, he last worked as a clerk at Ace Hardware in Columbiana, before his retirement in 1998. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School and served with the U. S. army during Vietnam.
His wife, Beverly (Thomas) Hampson, whom he married on Jan. 15, 1965, died on June 18, 1994.
One son, Robert C. Hampson of Calcutta; one brother Joseph Hampson of Winona, Ohio; one sister; Deborah Morris of Calcutta; and two grandchildren, survive him.
Services are 11 a.m. today at the Calcutta Chapel of Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes with Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour to the service.
