ALLIANCE – Amelia B. Neal, 92, died at 5:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at McCrea Manor Nursing Home.
She was born in Wellsville Aug. 9, 1909, a daughter of the late Sidney H. and Alice M. Hendricks Anderson.
She had resided in the Alliance area since 1983. Before retiring, she was employed at Homer Laughlin China Co. in Newell for 43 years as a decal decorator. She attended East Liverpool schools. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Alliance and a former 40-year member of the First Church of Nazarene in East Liverpool and its Baracha class.
Her husband, Charley Robert Neal, whom she married May 25, 1959, died March 13, 1987. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Faith E. Neal and Edna Anderson; and a brother, Charles Anderson.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia L. Tittle of Alliance; two grandsons; a granddaughter; four great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters and a niece.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Neal has elected to donate her body to Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American heart Association or Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Arrangements were made by the Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
