MIDLAND -- Roy Pennington, 94, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001, at the Calcutta Personal Care Home.
He was born in Louisa , Ky., April 25, 1907, a son of the late Watt and Nora Pearl Ferrel Pennington.
He retired from Crucible Steel Colt Industries where he was employed as a millwright.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Fugitt Pennington. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Nora Wynn.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy C. Pennington of Jay, Fla., and Richard D. Pennington of Coos Bay, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Tom (Darlene) Candle and June Leport of Industry and Mrs. Bill (Wonola) Bousquet of Anchorage, Alaska; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski, pastor of Hookstown Free Methodist Church, will conduct services at 1o a.m. Thursday at the D. L. Williams Funeral Home in Midland. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Industry.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
