EAST LIVERPOOL – Doris A. Dorsey, 81, formerly of Bloomfield Road, died at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Oct. 6, 1919, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Grace E. Miller Holtzman.
Mrs. Dorsey retired from the art department of the W. C. Bunting Co. in 1985 after eight years of service. She was a lifetime resident of the area and a member of the Longs Run Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Triangle Seniors, the ELHSAA and the Friendly Breakfast Bowling League.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Dorsey, whom she married April 12, 1939 and who passed away on Oct. 20, 1977.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Sondra) Keller of Calcutta; one son, Thomas Dorsey of Atlanta, Ga.; one bother, Roy James Holtzman of Calcutta; five grandchildren, John Keller Jr. and his wife Kim of Wellsville, Matthew Keller of East Fairfield, Ohio, Kevin Keller of Calcutta, Mrs. David (Kelly) LeBlond of Saudi Arabia and Mrs. Michael (Kimberly) McCusker of Atlanta; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew and Brittney Keller of Wellsville, Duncan LeBlond of Saudi Arabia and Michelle McCusker of Atlanta.
Friends may call at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Caster of the church officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park. Friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center immediately following. The family requests contributions be made to the Longs Run Church.
