ALLIANCE – Mary C. Rudibaugh, 77, formerly of Boring Lane, died at the home of her son in Alliance Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Fairport, Ohio, March 24, 1924, a daughter of the late Claude Russell and Anna L. Snyder Russell.
Mrs. Rudibaugh was a member of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ and the Friendly circle since 1947, having been treasurer for many years. She retired in 1980 from Hill’s Department Store, where she worked as a sales clerk. Mrs. Rudibaugh was a 1941 graduate of East Liverpool High School.
Her husband, Raymond E. Rudibaugh, whom she married Dec. 8, 1943, died Sept. 27, 1999.
She is survived by her two sons, Wayne a. Rudibaugh Sr. and his wife Elaine, with whom she resided, and Paul R. Rudibaugh of East Liverpool; a daughter, Linda K. Dickson of East Liverpool; her grandchildren, Timothy L. Dickson of Denver, Colo., Wayne A. Rudibaugh Jr. of Alliance, Crystal Gobley of Alliance and Nicole Wimer and her husband Wayne Douglas of East Liverpool; and her great-grandchildren, Aaron L. Dickson and Joseph Walter Dickson of Denver, Hannah T. Rudibaugh, Kristen M. Gobley and Lauren R. Gobley of Alliance.
Services sill be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes with Brother Will Montgomery of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery.
The family will be present to receive friends a the funeral home in Calcutta from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 .m. Sunday
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alliance Visiting Nurses and Hospice, c/o Alliance Hospital.
