Dorothy Mae McShane
Died Dec. 30, 2003

EAST LIVERPOOL – Dorothy Mae McShane, 96, formerly of Parshall Road, Wellsville, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003 at Adkins Convalescent Center 1, where she had been a patient since May.
Born in Newell Aug. 10, 1907, daughter of the late Homer and Grace Reynolds Poynter, she was a member of ST. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and a past member of its Altar Guild.
A lifelong resident of the area, she worked at Homer Laughlin China Co. for more than 30 years operating the lining machine in the decorator shop.
A member of Potters Union Local 124, also was an honorary member of the GMP union.
Her husband, Dean A. McShane, died Dec. 7, 1976. A brother, Chifford Poynter, also preceded her in death.
A daughter, Mrs. Donald (Donna Jean) Lowe of Wellsville, and a son, Robert McShane, and his wife, Paula of East Liverpool survive.
There are three grandsons, Edward, Robert and Donald Lowe II, and three great-grandsons, Eric, Michael and Frederick Lowe.
Five step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren also survive.
Friends may call Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Fr. Scott Woodstuff will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
