Services are planned Monday for Mrs. Edith C. Howard, 71, of Irish Ridge Rd., East Liverpool, who died at 7:42 a.m. Friday at City Hospital following an illness of more than six months.
She was born in East Liverpool Jan. 20, 1915, a daughter of the late Arthur Garn and Marguerite Maukler Garn.
Her husband, Lorin F. Howard, died July 12, 1984.
She is survived by a son, Lorin F. Howard Jr., with whom she resided; a brother, Harold Garn of Malvern, Ohio; three sisters, Betty Young of Wellsville, Mrs. Vernon (Dorothy) Shaffer of East Liverpool and Mrs. Lawrence (Kathleen) Wheatley of Hamilton, Ohio; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Rev. James L. Thomson of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church is to conduct the services at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Martine Funeral Home.
Burial is to be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening.
