Mrs. Pauline A. Herring
Died Dec. 28, 2003

EAST LIVERPOOL – Mrs. Pauline A. Herring, 76, of Monticello Place died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Lorain, Ohio, Sept. 12, 1927, daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine Pachan Demko, she attended Lorain schools
A member of the First Assembly of Good Church, she was a past member of the church choir, which she also had directed. Additionally, she was a past treasurer of the church as well as a Sunday school secretary.
Before marrying and moving to East Liverpool 51 years ago, she was employed at the Palace Theatre in Lorain serving first as the assistant manager and then as the manager.
After moving to East Liverpool, she was a cashier a the former Quickie Meats, the family-owned business.
A member of the East Liverpool City Hospital Auxiliary, Mrs. Herring was often seen serving at the front desk.
Her husband, Frank G. Herring, whom she married Sept. 4, 1952, died Nov. 28, 1995. Four sisters, Mrs. Mary Suleski, Mrs. Elizabeth Pruchnicki, Mrs. Anne DeSilvester and Mrs. Irene Donath, and a brother, Steven Demko, also preceded her in death.
Twin daughters, Mrs. Steven (Janet) Butler of Stanford, Maine, and Janice K. Ebaugh of East Liverpool, survive along with three sons, Ted Herring and his wife, Renee, of Bedford Heights, Ohio, James Herring and his wife, Rochelle, of East Liverpool and John Herring and his wife, Joyce, oaf Clarksville, Tenn.
A sister, Kaye Russo of Lorain, also survives.
There are 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Pastor Steve Huskey of the church will conduct services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Following burial, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
