Ernest Simmons

LISBON – Services will be held Wednesday for Ernest Simmons, 88, of Lisbon who died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at the Medical Center, Beaver following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Erwin, Tenn., July 25, 1915, a son of the late Henry and Sarah Nelson Simmons.
He was a retired laborer from the T. K. Roofing Co., and was a veteran of the Untied States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife Faye DeBee Rollins Simmons.
He is survived by a daughter, Kaye Howell of Edgerton, Ohio; three sisters, Venie Dawson of Hookstown, Louise Denty of Fla., and Ruth Clovsek of Texas; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Paul Sturm will conduct the service at 12:30 p.m. at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Burial in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Visitation two hours before the service.
The Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will accord full military honors.
