Georgetown - Barbara J. Stewart, 78, of Georgetown, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009, at home. She was born April 2, 1931 in Newell, a daughter of the late George and Mary Jane Hart.
She attended the Hookstown Free Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Stewart; a grandson, Eric Hamilton; and one brother.
She is survived by five children, Joan Grant, Judy Hamilton, Joyce Stewart, William Stewart and Tim Stewart; seven grandchildren; and two sisters Helen Stewart and Gladys Calhoun.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Welch Funeral Home, Hookstown, where services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski. Interment will follow in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown.
