Barbara Jean Staley, 63, of Weirton passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 at Weirton Medical Center
She was born May 6, 1945 in Steubenville, a daughter of Virginia (Mayhew) Shepard of Weirton and the late Edward Eugene Richards.
Barbara was retired form the Weirton St4el Co. General Office, a member of the Weirton Steel 25 ear Club, and a member of the Memorial Baptist in Weirton.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her stepfather Floyd Shepard Jr. of Weirton; companion Jim M. Staley of Weirton; a sister, Joyce (Max) Prouty of Baltimore, OH; two nephews, Scott (Courtney) Campbell and Todd Campbell; two great-nieces, Stephanie Campbell and Allison Campbell; a great-nephew, Ryan Campbell; and a great-great- niece Abrianna Frazier.
Services were held at the Turley Funeral Home on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11a.m. with Pastor William Stout officiating. Interment followed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter.
