Glenn “Sonny” Galloway, 49, of Chester passed awy Sunday, April 26, 2009.
He was born September 27, 1959 in Sheeling , a son of the late Glenn and Thurza Rogers Galloway.
Sonny worked for the city of Chester for 30 years as the street superintendent. He was an avid hunter, sports fan and he loved playing poker with his buddies.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal Jenkins Galloway, at home; two sons, Glenn “Tommy” Galloway and wife, Roslyn and Corey Galloway and companion, Heidi of Chester; a grandson, Connor Galloway of Chester; a sister Glenda Pope and husband, Robert “Doc” of Newell; his in-laws, Charles and Patricia Young; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home. Interment followed a the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
