SALINEVILLE -Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Rhodes, 76, of Water Street, died at 9:48 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton following a brief illness.
She was born in Salineville Feb. 3, 1925, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Kathryn G. Sweeney Mundy.
She retired as a clerk in the office at the Salineville IGA and was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Cliffton C. Rhodes; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Regina ) Bridge of Salineville; two sons, C. David Rhodes of Toronto and Charles L. Rhodes of Fort Pierce, Fla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Father John T. Tully will conduct services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer vigil to be held at 2.
