Henry Delbert Cottrill, 80, of New Cumberland passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Weirton Medical Center.
He was born January 31, 1928 in Salem, WV, a son of the late Raymond Glen and Martha Ann (Harsty) Cottrill. He was also preceded in death by three infant children; two brothers, Raymond G. Cottrill Jr. And Edward Cottrill; and three sisters, Joanne Morrison,Donnie Mae Cottrill and Dorothy Chipps.
Henry was a retired glass worker from the McBride Co. in Salem, a member of the Church of God in Weirton, and a former Boy Scout leader.
Surviving are his wife, Leah F. (Boyce) Cottrill at home; three children, ‘roberta Hall of North Carolina and William Cottrill and Patricia Leasure, both of New Cumberland; a sister, Bonnie Ross of New Cumberland; two brothers, Eugene Cottrill of Salem and William Cottrill of Buckhannon; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Turley Funeral Home with Pastor James Larabee officiating. Interment followed at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
