Helen L. Lightner, 78, of Sayre Lane, Lawrenceville passed away at home on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 29, 1930 in Moon township, PA, the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha (Linger) Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Lightner Sr; two grandsons, Richard Shingler and Benjamin Lightner; a great granddaughter, Kayla Lightner; six brothers and two sisters.
A homemaker, Helen had previously worked at the former TS&T Pottery and at Fox’s Nursing Home. She was a dedicated and active member of the Chester Church of the Nazarene where she was a member of the church choir and assisted with the nursery care and bible school.
She is survived by three sons, Wiley Lightner of Hopewell Township, Paul Lightner and wife Renee of New Manchester and William J. Lightner of East Liverpool; three daughters, Cathy Rosak and husband Kenneth, Cheryl Glenn and husband Chuck and Charlene Robb and husband Albert, all of Chester; a sister, Mildred Woods of Florida; thirteen grandchildren and twelve Great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Cummings. Interment followed at the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
