Robert L. “Bob” Allison, 49, of Chester passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday January 13, 2009.
Bob was born March 6, 1959, in Newell, the son of Alvin Allison and the late Polly Lynch Allison. In addition to his mom, he was preceded in death by a baby sister, Melinda.
He worked as a mechanic at Chaney’s Auto Service most recently and had previously worked at Newell Porcelain. He played pool in the Ed’s II league.
He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Sherry Garlow Allison; a son, Matthew Allison , also at home; a daughter, Stephanie Allison, of Chester and a brother, Scott Allison, of Morgantown.
Funeral services were held on Friday January 16, 2009 at the Arner Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dennis Arnold officiating. Interment followed at the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
