Mrs. Bertha Bruce Borchert, whose husband was former, Pipe Department general foreman of the Crucible Steel Co., died early Tuesday morning at her home in Orlando, Fla. She was 68.
Wife of Charles A. Borchert, she was a member of the Midland Presbyterian Church and Ladies Bible Class. She was born July 18, 1882, in Scottsville, now part of Aliquippa.
Mr. and Mrs. Borchert went to Florida two years ago after residing in Midland 24 years. They lived previously in Aliquippa for 15 years.
Besides the husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Ellwood of Midland, and Mrs. Grace Antilla of Decatur, ind.; two brothers, Homer Bruce of Beechview, Pa, and J. C. Bruce of Oklahoma City; and four sisters, Mrs. Mary McCormick and Mrs. Grace Erwin of South Heights, Pa., Mrs. Vallie Kirk of Coraopolis, and Mrs. Mabel Allen of Ambridge.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the J. T. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 205 College Ave., Beaver, where services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 by Rev. George Bohlender.
Burial will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
