Died Dec. 27, 2003

WELLSVILLE –- Dorothy J. Baughman, 85, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at East Liverpool Convalescent Center following a one-day stay.
She was born Feb. 7, 1918, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late David E. and Mable Harsha Wucherer.
Dorothy graduated from Wellsville High School in 1937 and was a finisher at Sterling China for 43 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred “Chetty” Baughman, in 1993. They were married May 20, 1943. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Emily Lawrence, in 1948.
Survivors include two sisters, Edith Smith and Eloise Spriggs of Wellsville; a brother, William Wucherer of Wilmington, N.C., three nieces, Mary Kay “Mickey” Desarro and her husband Lenny of Wellsville, Dorothy Jean “Jeannie” Serago and her husband Terry of Phoenix, Ariz., Nancy Feragotti and her husband Dominic of Bartlett, Tenn.; and four nephews, Robert “Butch” Hamilton and his wife Beverly of North Carolina, William “Bill” Smith and his wife Cindy of Wellsville and Robert Baughman and William Baughman of Pennsylvania.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville with the Rev. Bill Rudder of the New Hope Community Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
