Mrs. Mary “Mae” Marcum, 64, of Cannon Mills Rd. died Sunday 9:24 a.m. at home following a long illness.
Mrs. Marcum was born July 17, 1918, in Manchester, Ky., a daughter of David L. Howard and Exie Wagers Howard.
She had resided here since 1936.
Besides her husband, John C. Marcum, whom she married Oct. 7, 1935, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Verna) Brum of South Gate, Calif, mrs. James (Lavonne) Jackson of East Liverpool and Miss Mary Ellen Marcum at home, six sons, Gene Marcum of South Gate, David L. Marcum of East Liverpool, Donald Marcum and Israel “Matt” Marcum, both of Lynwood, Calif. , and Charles W. Marcum of Bellflower, Calif. And John Wayne Marcum of Anaheim, Calif., four sisters, Mrs. Nettie Marcum, Mrs. Max “Irene” Hutchinson, Mrs. George (Ann) Boggess, all of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Frank (Mossie) Hansleman of New Cumberland, W.Va., five brothers, George Howard of Hanoverton, Robert Howard of East Liverpool, Israel Howard of Kingman, Ariz., Carl Howard of Palm Dale, Calif., and David Howard of South Gate; 14 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Services are to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert L. Battles of the Glenmoor Wesleyan Holiness Church.
Burial is to be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and night.
