Mrs. Julian McKinnon Aged 70, Died Sunday
Mrs. Julia E. McKinnon, aged 70, well known East End woman, died at her home on Mulberry street at 2:45 o'clock Sunday afternoon as a result of a stroke of apoplexy, the second of which came Saturday.
She was a daughter of the late Rev. Mrs. David Colclough, and was born in New York state on Sept. 5, 1846, The family later removed to Jersey City. In 1855 they came to East Liverpool, where Mrs. McKinnon has since resided. Her father was a Methodist clergyman.
Shortly after the end of the civil war she and George McKinnon were married. He died about 12 years ago. Two children were born to the union. Mrs. Effie Whetstone and George E. McKinnon, both of this city.
Mrs. McKinnon was a charter member of the Pennsylvania Avenue Methodist Episcopal church. She was also a member of the Pythian Sisters.
Rev. A.W. Gruber will officiate at the funeral services which will be held at the Presbyterian Avenue M.E. church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be made in Riverview cemetery.
