Lester S. Fryer, 76, of Newburgh Heights, OH passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at home.
He was born August 24, 1932 in New Cumberland, a son of the late William Leonard Fryer and Daisy Jewel (Swango) Fryer. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Malcom Fryer and sisters, Genoa Center and Mildred Enberg.
He was the beloved husband of Judith Jones Fryer; dear father of Ona Lisa Fryer and Debora Lynn (Jose) Padilla; grandfather of Tiffany, Jose Jr., Joshua and Nichole and brother of Bill Fryer Fr., Dale Fryer and Velva Jones.
Lester was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was retired from LTV Steel and had a love for gardening, hunting and fishing.
Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Staub officiating. Interment will follow at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
