LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. – Thomas Edward “Bud” Bennett, 78, formerly of Wellsville, died at home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Chester, W.Va., April 14, 1923, a son of the late George D. Bennett and Helen Lewis Reaukauf.
A Tri-State Area residen before moving to California in 1948, he graduated from Wellsville High School in 1942. He retired from Lockheed Aircraft Corp., Burbank, Calif., in 1986.
He is survived by four daughters; Darlene K. Waller with whom he resided, Connie M. Fry of Lake Elsinore, Karen M.Petrie of East Liverpool and Debbie A. Davis of Fort Langley, Canada; a brother , Harry A. Bennett of Amsterdam, Ohio; a sister, Roberta Kisner of East Liverpool; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, June Ellen Siddell of East Liverpool; two brothers, Ross and Douglas Halstead; and two sisters, Ileen Smith and Juanita Rowand; two grandchildren and a greatgrandchild.
A memorial service is pending.
