Charles W. Russell, 74, of Clement Way, a retired potter and a World War I veteran died this morning at 10:30 at City Hospital after an illness of several years.
He was born in Emporium, Pa., May 10, 1896. He had resided her for 45 years and was retired in 1961 from the Taylor, Smith and Taylor Co., where he worked as a kilnplacer. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by six step-sons, Lawrence Coleman of Chester, Wayne Coleman, Richard Coleman, Jerry Coleman, Jack Coleman and Keith Coleman, all of East Liverpool; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Rhea) Howell of East Liverpool, Mrs. James (Charlene) Higgins of Negley and Mrs. Jerome (Ruth) Raimond of Chester; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Ruth Irwin, Mrs. Helen Plummer, Miss Dorothy Coleman and Mrs. Patricia Curry, all of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Violet Groves of Midland; a brother, Karl Russell of Emporium, and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday night.
