Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Warrick Funeral Home in Columbiana for Everett (Pete) Crawford, 64 of Lisbon RD 3, who died Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. at St. John’s Medical Center in Steubenville after a lingering illness.
He had been ill since January and a hospital patient for 3 ½ weeks.
Mr. Crawford was born Oct. 6, 1906, in Rogers, a son of John H. and Nancy Wilson Crawford. He had resided his lifetime in Columbiana County and for 14 years at his last address.
He was an operating engineer for 35 years, being employed by the Hoosier Engineering Co. At one time he worked for the Collier’s Construction Co. in Strongsville, Ohio. He was a member of the VFW Post of Lisbon, Potters Camp, Owls Club of East Liverpool and Local 93, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was married to the former Mary Sue Quinn July 23, 1954. She survives at home.
He is also survived by a sister, Mrs.Viola Smith of Beaver Falls, and a brother, Leeman (Pat) Crawford of New Waterford.
The Rev. James Crawford of Lousiville will officiate at Saturday’s service. Burial will be in East Carmel Cemetery near Rogers.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
