Thomas C. Lyons, 26, of Shippingport, husband of Cynthia Szatkowski Lyons, died this morning at 1:30 at Rochester General Hospital after a week’s illness.
He was born in East Liverpool April 4, 1940, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl F. Lyons, who now reside in Chester. He was a carpenter at the St. Joseph Lead Co. in Monaca. He was a member of the Presentation Catholic Church of Midland and served four years with the Navy.
In addition to his widow, he leaves two daughters, Debbie Lynn Lyons and Theresa Ann Lyons, both at home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd (Doc) Lyons of Chester; a sister, Mrs. Robert Simpson of Chester Route @ and a brother, Michael Lyons of Chester.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Midland church by Fr. Stephen J. Burdis. Burial will be in Beaver Cemetery.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday afternoon and night at the Welch Funeral Home in Hookstown, where the Rosary will be recited Friday at 7:30 p.m.
