EAST PALESTINE – Almira M. Sprott, 90, formerly of 70 Park Drive, died at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday at Hutton Nursing Center 1 following a lengthy illness.
Born July 14, 1897 in Youngstown, she was the daughter of Frederic and Jeney Ward Flower.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was formerly employed at McElvey Department Store, Youngstown. She was last employed by the former Columbiana Pump
Co.
She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, East Palestine.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Wilber Reese in December of 1947 and by her second husband, Clarence Sprott.
Surviving are a son, Robert L. Reese of Painesville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Leonard (Joann) Pritchard of Columbiana; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Nettie Spalding.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Arbaug-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home with Rev. Larry A. Draper officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
