Randolph McClain, 69, of Spencer, Rt. 2, died at his farm Sunday morning from a heart attack.
He was born in Roane county, Jan. 1, 1886, a son of the late John and Ora Fugate McClain. He was a member of the IOOF at Newton.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nellie G. McClain; seven daughters, Mrs Marie Fairbee and Norma Grey, both of Wallback, W. Va., Mrs. Beatrice Drake of Newton, Mrs. Evis Hargus of Lancaster, Mrs. Anna Hicks, of W.Va., and Mrs. Cora Morris of Elana; five sons, Vernon of Elana, Victor of Newton, John of Spencer, Robert of Canton, and Paul Harold of Belva, W.Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Hunt of Elana, Mrs. Rosa Igo and Mrs. Spencer Jarvis, both of Oka, W. Va., and Mrs. Lucy Morris of Fairmont; four brothers, Clark of Indore, W. Va., Howard of Elana, Orval of Akron and Press of Belington, W.Va.; 39 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. from the Zion Hill Baptist church with the Rev. Demar Simmons officiating. Interment will be in Zion Hill cemetery.
The body was removed from Sinnett funeral home, Spencer, to the home of a daughter.
