EAST LIVERPOOL – Services will be held Saturday for William R. McHenry, 66, of Kings Ridge Drive, who died at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1994, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
He was born in East Liverpool Dec. 8, 1927, a son of the late Harry and Agnes Mort McHenry.
He loved most of his life in Chester. He was employed 30 years at the Columbia Gas Transmission Co. in Clinton before retiring. He was a veteran of service with the U. S. Army. He graduated from Chester High School in 1945. He was Methodist by faith and was a member of the Chester Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, American Legion Post 121 and Elks Lodge 258.
He is survived by a daughter, Gretchen McHenry of Salem; two sons, David J. McHenry of East Liverpool and William Richard McHenry Jr. of Newell; two brothers, Russell M. McHenry and Harry McHenry of Chester; and a granddaughter.
The Rev. Dr. H. Gene Toot of the Trinity Presbyterian Church will conduct the services at 10:30 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
