EAST LIVERPOOL – Dorothy McHenry, 81, of Old Fredericktown Road, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at East Liverpool City Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born in New Matamoris, Ohio, July 17, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Jessie Pugh Cline
Living most of her life in the are, Mrs. MeHenry was a wife, mother, grandmother, and worked as a supervisor for Dutchmaid Clothing for 28 years, retiring in 1984. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School and a member of Grant Street Church of God in East Liverpool, where she was the Sunday School superintendent and taught the teenagers in Sunday School.
Her husband, George “Frank” McHenry, whom she married June 16, 1948, survives her at home.
She is also survived by a daughter, Debbie J. Cross of Calcutta; two brothers, Donald Cline and Edward Cline, both of East Liverpool; two sisters, Helen Cline of Harlem Springs, Ohio, and Ethel Johnson of East Liverpool; a grandson, James r. Cross of Calcutta; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005, with Pastor David Cline of the church officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Family and Friends will gather at the East Liverpool Chapel and Hospitality Center of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 145 W. Fifth St., East Liverpool, following the services for food and fellowship.
