BARNESVILLE – Charles R. “Chick” Dorsey, 81, 595 W. Main St., a former East Liverpool, resident, died Thursday morning at the Barnesville Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 3, 1906 in East Liverpool, he was the son of David and Belle Jones Dorsey.
He was a retired employee of Patterson Industries in East Liverpool and was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge 1699 and the Rotary Club.
In addition to his wife, Lillian Smith Dorsey, at home, he is survived by a son, Robert Dorsey of Barnesville; and three step-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Campbell-Plumley Funeral Home in Barnesville with Rev. Ron Hopkins officiating . Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where an Elks service is planned at 6:30 p.m.
