ALLIANCE – Ila J. Greeneisen McNeal, 53, of 535 S. Freedom St., died at Alliance Community Hospital at 6:50 p.m. Sunday following a one-year illness.
She was born May 23, 1934, in Salem, the daughter of Charles Raymond and Erma Leora Summers Spencer.
She lived in this area most of her life and was a member of the Westville Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Orlie B. McNeal Sr., whom she married Sept. 11, 1975; four daughters, Emma Simmons of North Benton, Eva Craig of Alliance, Kay Sellers of Sebring and Tina Totten of Alliance; a son, Robert Greeneisen of Salem; four stepdaughters, Florence Hively, Mary Shutler, Clara Ward and Mildred Gibbson, all of Alliance; two stepsons, Russell McNeal of Alliance and Orlie McNeal of Beloit; three sisters, Viola Good of Salem, Bridge Carpenter of Brooksville, Fla. and Gladys Thompson of Winona; two brothers, Chuck Spencer of Kiser, Md., and Peter Spencer of Beloit; 30 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Spencer, and a son, Walter Dean Greeneisen.
Services were held Tuesday at the Sharer-Stirling Funeral Home in Alliance. Burial was in highland Memorial Park.
