Harl R. Williams, 55, a former resident of the Parkersburg area, died Tuesday in Akron City hospital, according to word received here yesterday.
His death followed a sudden illness.
Born in Ripley, he was a son of the late R. T. and Lydia Bradley Williams. He was a member of Henry Perkins Lodge 611, A.F. & A. M.
He had been employed by the Goodrich Tire and Rubber Co. as a laboratory technician for 17 years, and was a member of the Goodrich Acacia Club.
Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Wilma L. Williams; a son, Jack E. Williams, Akron; a brother and sister, D. A. Williams and Mrs. Nellie F. Lee, Vienna.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Eckard-Baldwin funeral home in Akron, with the Rev. Murray Figg officiating.
Additional services will be held here at the Leavitt funeral home, 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Friends may call after noon Saturday.
