Harold L. Taylor, 74, Lisbon; was county highway retiree
LISBON – Harold L. Taylor, 74,10272 Steubenville-Pike Road, died at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at his residence, following a sudden illness.
He was born in Clinton County on Jan. 24, 1913, the son of Robert and Clara Morris Taylor. He lived in this area for 31 years, coming form Wilmington.
For many years, he was a truck driver and worked 20 years for the county highway department, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of the Beaver Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Conn Taylor, whom he married April 21, 1956; two brothers, Delford Taylor of Wilmington and Herschel Taylor of Washington Court House; and three sisters, Mrs. Mrs. Kenneth (Sherrie) Peyton of Blanchester, Mrs. Andrew (Alice) Fraley of Sabina, and Mrs. Russell (Mary) Sanderson of Wilmington.
He was preceded in death by a son, William.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with Mr. Tom Derby, minister of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
