SALEM – Mary F. Woolf Derrick, 84, of 32105 Tower Road, died at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday at Salem Community Hospital following a one-year illness.
Born Oct. 2, 1902 in Knox Township, she was the daughter of Fred J. and Dorothy Summers Wafler.
She had been employed at the Sanor Apple Farm and earlier at Zellers’ Restaurant. She was a 68-year Golden Sheath member of Butler Grange.
She ws preceded in death Dec. 31, 1963, by her first husband, Ernest M. Woolf, whom she married June 21, 1919. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Monte Derrick.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Betty) Voghuber of Salem; a son, Charles F. Woolf of Salem; two sisters, Bertha Zellers of Alliance and Esther Brooks of Lumberton, N. C.; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Aegerter, in 1980; and by three brothers, Frank, Albert and George Wafler.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stark Memorial with Rev. Carl Murray officiating. Burial will be in North Georgetown Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Stark Memorial.
