CINCINNATI – Paul E. McHenry, 89, formerly of East Liverpool, died at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at the Kenwood Terrace Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in East Liverpool June 26, 1908, a son of the late Earl B. and Blanche Maidens McHenry.
He and the late Howard Diddle started the Handy Sales and Service here. He lived most of his life in the East Liverpool area before moving to Cuyahoga Falls in 1993 and later moving to Cincinnati. He was a member of Riddle Masonic Lodge 315 and was a 32nd degree member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Steubenville.
He is survived by his wife, Lois E. Russell McHenry, whom he married Aug. 9, 1930; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Barbara) Berling of Cincinnati and Mrs. Kenneth (Vicki) Gessford of Stow, Ohio; a son, Steven A. McHenry of Dayton; a brother, Winston McHenry of Toledo; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Michael McHenry.
Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
The Dawson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
