Mrs. Anna M. ‘Annie” Pack
Died Dec. 5, 2003
EAST LIVERPOOL – Mrs. Anna M. “Annie” Pack, 85 of Pennsylvania Avenue, died at 1:05 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at Fox Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chester, where she had been a patient for a year.
Born in Smiths Ferry, Pa., Feb. 2, 1918, daughter of the late Daniel and Helen Crooms Nizeer, she was the oldest living member of the Mt. Olive Baptist church in Midland. Recognized as a “mother of the church,” she served as ceaconess, trustee and usher.
A lifelong resident of the area, she was a retired domestic worker.
Her husband, Edmoun Pack, died in 1988. a sister, Eleanor Roach, also preceded her in death.
A sister, Virginia Pack, and a brother, William Nizer, both of East Liverpool, survive.
A nephew, Richard Pack, and his wife Gloria of East Liverpool, who looked after her, also survive along with several other nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Pastor Joseph Johnson will conduct services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Sylvania Hills in Rochester, Pa.
