Died Nov. 19, 2003

EAST LIVERPOOL –Doris Virginia Bailey, 79, of Ohio Alley died at 4:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in East Liverpool, Jan. 28, 1924, daughter of the late Willis and Ruth Calhoun Van Dyne, she was a member of the Glendale Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School She later attended both the Etruria Street Church of God Church and the
Chester Church of the Nazarene.
A lifelong East Liverpool resident, she was a housewife.
Her Husband, Roy E. Bailey, whom she married July 27, 1944, died Sept. 9, 1998. three sisters, Phyllis McCafferty, Jerry Costas and Jean VanDyne, also preceded her in death.
Three daughters, Karla S. Humphrey of Glouchester, Va., Mrs. Jack L. (Julie Ann) Robinson of New Cumberland and Joy E. Maola of East Liverpool, survive along with five sons, Gary W. Bailey and his wife Mary of Bowling Green, Texas, David A. Bailey and his friend Niki of Dixonville, Mark S. Bailey and his wife Lynn of New Port News, VA., Roy W. Bailey and his companion Pat of East Liverpool and Brian K. Bailey and his companion Mandy of Salem.
A sister, Mrs. Marvin (Linda) Murphy of Philadelphia and two brothers, the Rev. Charles Van Dyne and his wife Shelia of Mercer, Pa., and Richard Van Dyne and his wife Lisa, also survive.
There are 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
The Rev. Tim Haynes of the Chester Church of the Nazarene and Rev. Charles Van Dyne will conduct services at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park
