Ethel M. Golba
Died Feb. 6, 2004.

SARASOTA, FLA. — Ethel M. Golba, 93, of Huntington Pointe drive died Friday morning Feb. 6, 2004.
Born in East Liverpool, Nov. 25, 1910, daughter of the late James and Ida Mary Townsend Pryor, she was a lifelong member of the Boyce United Methodist Church. A member of its Home Builders Class and Women’s Society, she also was a Sunday school teacher for the high school girls class.
For many years, Mrs. Golba was the handbag and hosiery buyer at the former Ogilvie’s Department Store.
Her husband, William Golba died Oct.23, 1973. a son, William J. Golba died July 28, 1984. Two sisters, Hazel Costello and Helen Wiegand, and a brother, James Pryor, also preceded her in death.
A daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Marilyn) Purdie of Sarasota, survives, along with four grandsons, Jim Purdie, Willliam Golba, Robert Golba and Jerry Golba; six-great grandchildren, Danielle, James, Alicia, Kendra, Justin and Sarah Kate Golba. Additionally, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ted (Dottie) Seevers of East Liverpool, survives.
Friends may call today at eh Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
The Rev. Richard Hasley of the church will conduct the services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
The family has requested that memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Golba be made to Boyce United Methodist Church.
Immediately following the services, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center.
