Juanita Jenkins

SALINEVILLE - Juanita Holland Jenkins, 87, formerly of Clarks Mill Road, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem after a lengthy illness.
She was born in McDowell County, W.Va., March 20, 1917, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Kathryn Clay Holland.
She worked as a cook a the Highlandtown School at one time and was a member of the Highlandtown Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Jenkins, and a son, Janell Jenkins.
She is survived by two sons, Ellwood Jenkins of Georgetown, S.C., and Delana “Snatch” Jenkins of Salineville; two daughters, Ruby Jones, with whom she resided, and Joyce Fraley of Salineville; a brother, Bufford Holland of Manassas, Va.; a sister, Kathleen Henderson of Iaegar, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren’ 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Charles Chaney of Springfield Methodist Church and the Rev. Jim Ray of Highlandtown Methodist Church will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 tonight.
