Clyde E. ‘Ed’ Dickey
Died April 20, 2004

NEGLEY -- Clyde E. ‘Ed’ Dickey, age 67, of 51047 Richardson St., died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Dickey was born Sept. 16, 1936, in Unity, a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth B. Wallace Candel and had lived in this area all of his life. He had served in the U. S. army and had attended the Negley United Methodist Church. He was a self-employed truck driver for 26 years, retiring in 1999.
He is survived by his wife, the former Doris A. Parker whom he married Dec. 27, 1966; his stepmother, Dorothy Dickey of Negley; a son, Terry Dickey of Lisbon; a sister, Mrs. Jim (Darlene) Dangelo of Summitville; three Sister-in-laws, Mrs. Roger (Martha) Mitchell of Valrico, Fla., Mrs. Terry (Nancy) Holtom of Vero Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Ed (Carolyn) Derringer of Rogers; two grandchildren, Corey Dickey and Josh Dickey; several nieces and nephews and his best buddy “Boomer.”
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Arnold Dickey, who had raised him since childhood, and a sister, Helen Wilson.
Private family services will be held in Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine. There are no calling hours. If friends desire, material tributes may take the form of a donation to Hospice of the Valley, P.O. Box 2398, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920. Arrangements were made by the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine.
