CALCUTTA – Ricky G. Hoppel, 59, of Irish Ridge Road, died suddenly on Wednesday, Dec. 10,2003.
Born on Aug. 18, 1944 in Puxsutawny, Pa., he was the son of Mildred “Midge” Marshall Hoppel of West Point and the late Charles W. Hoppel, and had resided most of his life in this area.
A lifelong truck driver, he was affiliated with System Logistics in Midland, and also worked for many area trucking companies, including several family operations. He was a member of the Beaver Local Class of 1962.
In addition to his mother, survivors include two sons, Shane Hoppel and his wife Mary of Lisbon and Brandon G. Hoppel and his wife Suzanne of Calcutta. He is also survived by a brother, Joe Hoppel of West Point, and two grandchildren, Vincent and Sabrina Hoppel. A brother, Charles H. “Chuckie” Hoppel preceded him in death.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home with Jason Pancake, Minister of the Lake Mount Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
