Sara Elizabeth Green

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sara Elizabeth “Ebby” Green, 86, a former 75-year resident of Salineville, died Friday, April, 16, 2004, at the Friendship Village in Columbus.
She was born May 13, 1917, in Carroll county, the daughter of the late Richard M. and Sadie M. (Casey) Moore.
Mrs. Green graduated from Salineville High School and was an active member of the Salineville United Methodist Church, where she helped those in need in the community.
Ebby worked during World War II in the war effort at the Alliance Manufacturing Co., and later for Hart Motor Sales in Salineville.
Her husband, Howard A. Green, whom she married April 18, 1961, died Feb. 26, 1996.
She is survived by a loving niece, Carolyn Carter Petree and her husband Judge Charles Petree along with their children, Robert K. Newbold Jr., Garold L. Newbold, John D. Petree, David Petree, Beth Petree Fulton and Sarah Petree Chapin, all of Columbus; a son, Ronald Green and his wife Jane along with their children, William, Julie, Rhonda, Kelly and grandchildren, all of Traverse City, Mich. Nieces and nephews of the Moore family include Juanita Bails Bezdeck and her husband Tab of Lisbon, Jack Moore, Charles Moore, Kay Campbell and Evelyn Sue Moore Gossman, all of Canton, Ohio. Nieces and nephews of the Green family include William Green and his wife Ruth, Marlene Green Corbisello, Ruth Ann Green Bettis, Roy Fred, Tom and Carl Green.
Besides her parents and husband, Sara was preceded in death by sisters, Bails, and Beryl Carter, Ruth Moore and Leona Moore Carter; and brothers William, Donald, Richard, Lloyd and Dean Moore.
The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville, with the Rev. Jim Ray of the church officiating.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Salineville, where there will be a family graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 19, at the funeral home.
