La Wanda M. Johnston
Died April 16, 2004

CALCUTTA – La Wanda M. Johnston, 68, of Lois Lane, passed away Friday, April 16, 2004, at her home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1936, in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Masie (Altic) Sheline Masuraca.
La Wanda was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church and had retired from the former Crucible Steel Mill as a Registered Nurse n 1982.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by her husband, William T. Johnston at home, to whom she was married Aug. 29, 1959.
She is also survived by a daughter, Vanessa L. Johnston at home; a son, William B. Johnston and his wife Wendy of Wooster, Ohio; a brother Frank A. Sheline II and his wife Marjorie of Hartville, Ohio; a sister, Marie E. Kasinger and her husband Norman of Rawlins, Wyo.; and a sister-in-law, Lois V. Johnston of Toronto, Ohio.
La Wanda is also survived by four grandchildren, Breanne, Lindsey, Savannah and Nicholas Johnston, all of Wooster; three Nephews, Frank A. Sheline III and his wife Michele and their sons, Ian and Nathan, And Drew Kasinger and Dalton Kasinger all of Rawlins; and a niece, Lori Werstler and her husband Ryan with their daughter Paige of Canton, Ohio.
Friends and family will be received from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes and 10 t0 11 a.m. Monday at the Clarke Funeral Home in Toronto, where the Rev. Ricky Riggs will officiate services at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery on County Road 68 at Toronto.

Following the funeral service and burial on Monday, friends and family are invited to go to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church for a luncheon.
