EAST LIVERPOOL – Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, Bearl F. Williams, 90, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed away in his sleep, slipping from our world to his eternal home.
He was born in East Liverpool, Nov. 11, 1913, the son of the late John and Mary Cline Williams.
He worked at Crucible Steel until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of he Bible Holiness Church and spent many hours after his retirement in the work of the Lord, being groundskeeper at Clinton Holiness Camp, Sunday School superintendent. Sunday School Teacher, and song leader. He enjoyed carpentry, attending church services and the reading and study of God’s word. he was a loving husband and devoted father.
He was preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children, Dorothy Bolin Williams, who died in March 1993; his first-born son, Robert Leroy Williams, who died in infancy; his first grandchild, David Robert Williams; and a stepson, John Snow. He was also preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Georgiana Hart Snow Williams as well as sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Mimi Williams, David and Faye Williams, Dan and Sharon William, and Keith and Susie Williams, along with a daughter and son-in-law, with whom he resided, Valerie and Jim Vernaccini. Bearl was especially proud of his grandchildren, Rita, Mimi, Holly, Pam, Brenda, Todd, Brad and Corey, along with great-grandchildren, Samira, Calmille, Cameron, Emily, Allison, Joseph, Zachary, Ariel, Hannah, Randy, Nicole, Jaquelyne and David Damian. He thought of his beloved niece and caregiver, Donna Malone as a daughter, and was very fond of her son, Christian.
He was also blessed with stepchildren, Carolyn Coursin, Shirley Tinkey and her husband Loye and Willis Snow and his wife Jackie as well as step-grandchildren and stp-great-grandchildren. He also leaves many wonderful friends and extended family members.
The family would like to invite all to share in the celebration of his life at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Paul Treese of the Pleasant Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church and the Rev. David Comfort of the Bible Missionary Church officiating.
Burial will follow in the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens at Newell.
The family will be present to receive friends Monday at the funeral home in Calcutta from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
