Frank L. Custer, 86, Ex-Trustee, Claimed
Frank L. Custer, a former trustee of Yellow Creek Township, died at 5:25 a.m. in City Hospital, where he had been a patient four days. He was 86.
Mr. Custer had resided in Lisbon for the last seven months and had been a patient in City Hospital before being transferred here.
He was born in Madison Township Jan. 12, 1873, and resided in the Wellsville vicinity for nearly 70 years. He had been employed as a heater in the hot mill department of the former Wellsville works of the American Sheet & Tin Plate Co. until the plant closed in 1931.
Mr. Custer served more than 20 years as a township trustee and was a member of the Republican Central Committee in Yellow Creek Township. He was a member of Wellsville Masonic Lodge 180, East Liverpool Knights Templar and the Madison Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by five half-brothers, Ray Burbick and Ira Burbick of East Liverpool; Fred Burbick of Pompano Beach, Fla., Walter Burbick of Atlanta, Ga., and Clark Burbick of Newton Falls, and a half-sister, Mrs. Lulu Huffman of Bellflower, Calif.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2p.m. at the MacLean Funeral Home in Wellsville by the Rev. Richard Beidler of the Madison Presbyterian Church. Burial will be Springhill Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday afternoon and night at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at the home at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
