John B. Crowe of Chestnut Grove Ridge, Hammondsville, died Sunday at 4 p.m. at City Hospital, following a three-week illness of complications. He was 74.
Mr. Crowe was a retired coal miner and farmed in recent years. He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Charles Murphy of Minerva, Mrs. Harry Howell of Cleveland, Mrs. Samuel VanDyne of Beaver Falls, and Mrs. Earl McDougal, Mrs. Frank Bowersock and Mrs.Elmo Poole of East Liverpool, four sons, Lawrence Crowe and Roland Crowe of Hammondsville, Charles Crowe of East Liverpool, and John E. Crowe of Wellsville, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Haugh Funeral Home, Wellsville, at 3 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. Robert Ferguson of the Irondale Methodist Church. Burial will be in New Somerset Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday night.
