Mrs. Frances Sarah Blackburn, 1002 Buckeye
Ave., Wellsville, died Thursday at 4:40 p.m. in City Hospital. A patient since Monday, she had been in poor health several years.
Mrs. Blackburn was born in Jackson County, W. VA., a daughter of Emmanuel and Sophia Sines Hyatt, and came to Wellsville more than 60 years ago. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Her husband, John S. Blackburn, died in 1935.
She leaves two daughters, Miss Fannie Blackburn and Mrs. Jonnie Shannon at home; a son, Raymond Blackburn of Canton; two sisters, Mrs. F. P. Coe of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Rebecca Jane Riffle of Springfield, and three grandchildren.
The body was taken to the MacLean Funeral Home for rites Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. John C. Little, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday afternoon and night at the funeral home.
